so my car is in another shop again but this time they actually did something and it runs drives and idles now. i was talking to the mechanic today and he said that when he went to test drive it that it was fine in first but when he shifted into 2nd gear it felt like it was getting too much fuel and that it wouldn't go above 2000 RPM's. any ideas? thanks guys!! :thumb:

Your mechanic is a tard. All that needs to be checked are the components of the car that allocates how much fuel to use. So start simple by making sure all your MAF wires are good and plugged in correctly. Then do a boost leak test. You most likely have a leak at one of the connections. If it still persists, then it's off to test the FPR and make sure it isn't dead or being over run by your fuel pump. Then checking injectors (swap them out with another set and see if it still does that same thing).

Throwing any codes?

thanks for the help. he said that he hadn't hooked the scan tool up to it to see so idk about the codes

Yeah. Hope that it is just a boost leak or insufficient spark to ignite the mixture. So also make sure plugs are good and gaped correctly. If the car was down for a while, it may take a bit to actually throw the code.
