I might of ported to o2 housing to much. Will it effect the flow or with it be restricted to the exhuast. It was ported by someone else and it is opened way up. It will deffidently help but i don't want to hurt anything in the process of trying it out. Blowing up an o2 housing would wreck some stuff LOL.

i doubt it will blow up unless your exhaust is very restrictive and its creating lots of pressure inside there. Porting too much may not give u the best performance, like port matching with a gasket. Air flow will receive some kind of turbulence.

Yea, your good. It'll probably sound a little different, maybe even hear the nice spool through the exhaust.

ya thanx. Like my profile says im 3 inch all the way. I was just noticing alot that you guys were gasket matching the porting and i don't think this one is gasket matched LOL. Thanks though

Napkin hit it on the head. Generally when you're porting you want to gasket match on both sides for optimal flow. If you go too much or too little, you'll be creating turbulence in the exhaust flow which isn't ideal when you're shooting for a free flowing exhaust. One thing to be concerned about though is if its bad enough to where you're blowing out gaskets (maybe this is what you meant when you said "blowing up an O2 housing"?). I've heard it can happen but never seen it in person. Just something to watch out for..

If the outlet is larger than the gasket (the gasket is obstructing flow), you're going to blow out gaskets all the time.

well if it is that big then i will have to do some modifing to the housing. I left the part at my dads. im picking it up today to ill post pics later. What if the exhaust mani is ported to much on the bottom? Where the runners meet. Will that possily do the same thing??
