i was just wondering if anyone experiencing the same problem as me. I have a 97 gst and occasionally when the car is in wide open throttle the engine seems to lose all power in the higher rpms usually around 4500 rpms or higher, it seems like its taking forever for the needle to move higher. The turbo is still at full boost during all this. I have a mbc and have it set at 12psi and it seems to be fine right now but i know that if i raise it to like 13 or 14 i have that problem. Also when this occurs the car seems to jerk back and forth a little. Does anyone know what may be causing this. Thanks

i know EXACTLY what you are talking about.. it happened with both my t25 and the evo 16g... it turned out to be a huge boost leak from the UICP > SMIC

my suggestion would be to do a boost leak test.. then get new plugs/wires if they are old.. that should solve your problem
