toggle switch fuel pump yes or no?

so im running into a problem and im not getting fuel

we all know you can hear the wally 255 when u turn on the car

my question is can i just run a ground wire and a power from the pump and run it straight to the battery with a fuse and toggle switch? as a temp fix or even just to test my fuel problem in order to get it to run for longer than like 5 mins
