toggle switch to fuel pump?

i need to know if i can run a toggle switch to my fuel pump cause i think my harness is bad. let me know what you guys think.
 
you certainly could, but before you go to the trouble because you *think* your harness is bad, stick a multimeter on it and check it at both ends :thumb:
 
Yep, check out the wiring harness, then the MPI relay, and finally that the ECU is turning it on.
Loosing power to the fuel pump is one of the ways capacitor damage to the ECU displays itself.

Keep in mind that using a toggle switch as the sole means of controling the fuel pump looses the protection that the ECU has in the case of a fire to turn the pump off when the engine dies.
