To duct or not to duct...FMIC pix

Wow nice! I think I will have to do this. I do have I believe three fans though. One for push and two on the motor side of the car for pull.

I still have the 12" fal fan that I removed from car. Depending on how well the setup works I may have it pulling on the FMIC just for kicks. I really don't think I'll have to since the car didn't really run too hot and with everything I've done.

Quick recap:
2 - 13" spal fans that pull 3,000cfm
fan controllers
143* thermostat
wrapped manifold
ducted everything

It's weird cause I'm kind of having to do the opposite as you, I cut out the top part of the crash beam to increase air flow over the top of the front mount intercooler straight to the radiator. It still was not enough to keep it from getting hot with the A/C on. It was 113 Deg F yesterday! It was friggen hot :( I really don't want to cut holes in the bumper. I think I'm gonna leave it how it is and try not to drive it during the summer. I think the best fix would be to build a fan shroud that covers the whole radiator and the strongest fans I could fit.

This is how hot it was running with the A/C on. It would get a little higher is I got on it. If I turn the A/C off it goes down to the normal half way point.

I have a Mishimoto radiator($217 from extremepsi.com), stock fans, and a little Mishimoto Type Z FMIC(28" x 7.5" x 2.5"), A/C still in place(and recharged for summer :p). Here in KS its been getting 105+ like every day, but no overheating problems. I had overheating issues before with the stock radiator and one fan, but no more I say! I still need to upgrade my fans...I can't wait to get into ducting, but I want to wait till I have my final cooling set up. I love reading about you guys figuring this all out. Good stuff.

Are you goiing to have any vents on your hood?

No vents for me, if I do it will be if/when I put on a cf hood.

I should have her back together and going to flush her a few times and do some testing.

This is the ducting I ended up doing.

For some reason it wouldn't load this pic so I had to do it seperate.

and the cooling fans.

Some great Ideas in here. However, Anyone ever think to look at mid 80's to mid 90's Pontiac Trans Ams? They get 100% of radiator airflow from under the car. They have NO GRILL at all. The radiator is sealed to the core support and they have a "lip" on the lower part of the radiator. Alot like BigBlaze shows in the pic above. They also have the core support filled with minimal holes( not like the camaros) . Something else to look at while in a junk yard next time.
