1. My car is a 1g AWD 1990 talon

2. My wheel size is 18x8 with a 35mm offset. I picked them up off a friends evo8. the rims have BALD 245/40/18's all around

3. I currently have a 1.5-2inch drop on broken FRONT agx adjustable struts and ebachi pro lowering springs, and agx non adjustable good REAR struts with ebachi pro lowering springs too.

4. I will install adjustable camber control arm in the rear and bolts for the front once i figure out whats going on with these rims.

5. I dont know how to roll my fenders and would prefer not too but id rather have a more squared tire to rim fitment if that makes sense i hate seeing small tires on big rims with a rounded top. if my width has to change drastically i'l figure out how to roll them.

6. I will be driving this street only but i know im gonna be launching frequently from a dig and i want all the traction i can get.

7. Ive searched this issue and others have said it will work but im having some doubts. take a look at the pics i took when i test fit them today.

I fear::sosad:
1. my fenders will hit my tire when i hit a bump
2. my tires wont clear struts when i get fresh tread if i stay a 245/40/18
3. i might need spacer that will make my rims stick out even more!! they are already out of my fender. they look ok now but if they stick out more it will have gone full retard:ohdamn:
4. i might have to buy coilovers... and im praying i dont have to because i dont have the money for that.

On the bright side:
1. i have brand new struts and that might raise up the front of my car a lil. They are stagg gas struts.
2. if it fits... i have some stock springs out of a 350z that i could swap over. i figure they are high quality, new, and will really be stiff allowing less play on bumps being that they support a v6.

basically.... let me know if i should maybe get 235/40/18 or a different variation, or keep the 245/40/18 which do look nice on the car and work around it hoping the height comes up and or i can roll the fenders. i know someone out there has to have had a similar issue.

Run 225s and stop beating on your car if you're so broke.

Tire compound is more important than a few cms worth of traction with crappy tires.
