Timing done, now car wont start...

Last week my Timing Belt broke, so me and my Dad replaced it along with the rest of the belts. Once eveything was on, i tried starting the car, but all I does is turn over. We checked a spark plug & it had a really weak spark. The engine jsut doesn't seem to be turn with a lot of power. I have a 1.8 and accoring to a lot of people (plus my Chilton's manual) the 1.8 motor is non-interference so I do not think my cylinder head is messed up. Does anyone have any idea what is wrong. Like I said my T-Belt broke, so I replaced that and all the other belts, and now my ar will not start. Please help...my only ideas are,

1. Distributor went bad?
2. Maybe the battery went bad...except all accesories still turn on.
3. Spark plugs?
4. I have a 1.8 but could my valve still have f-ed up?

Did you make ABSOLUTELY sure you put the timing belt on the correct tooth of every sproket and adjust tension properly (http://www.vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-1G.html)? Sounds like it's not.

What should the tension be at? Also, what do you mean by every sprocket...do you think i should take everything back off and re-check? If one of the gears is off even a tiny-tiny bit would the car not start?
