Hey guy I havent been in the forums in a while but I've been busy. Now for the problem please read below and help me.
-My car's turbo had shaft play in it so I knew it was going to go soon but before I could replace it, I was on my way home from work and the car started stalling and smoking so I knew it was the turbo that went. I opened the hood and checked the IC piping and they where filled with oil from the turbo as the shaft broke. So I close the car and next day I had it towed to my house.
-I bought a new T25 and started taking out the broken turbo and then put in the new one, Then after the new one was installed I checked if everything was ok and in place and everything seemed ok no leaks or anything like that.
-So I decided that since everything was ok to start it up. I tried cranking it and it felt like there were no spark so I checked the plug wires and they did had spark, then I told my dad to crank it while I look at it under the hood and thats when I notice that the crank was turning but the cams weren't which is weird because the timing belt was new and when I checked it the Timing belt was chewed up by the crank pulley area.
Now my main question is. What cause the timing belt to get chewed up just by the turbo breaking up? any help is highly appreciated.
