so my t25 is going out and i want to get some power now. i am not sure weather to go with the small 16g or the big. I heard the small spools up faster, but the big has more room to grow, right now i wanna be around 325-350 whp. i don't know what that would translate into for psi but i was thinking somewhere around 20??? My car is completely stock right now so i have been trying to come up with a list of supporting mods i will need so far this is my list.

fmic- $320 ebay

Intake- $50 ebay

guages- $135 glowshift

Turbo- $600 vendor on here

Install kit- $150

bov- $225 not sure yet

dsmlink- $550

fuel pump 255 -$150

650cc injectors $250

oh ya and if i go with dsmlink can i control my boost with that i will i still need to get a boost controller. How important is it for me to upgrade my exhaust because right now i kinda like that it is quiet. Hopefully that list sums it up let me know if i am missing anything

so you think i should just get a 16g and put it on and as i get the money do the supporting mods as i go? And boostfrenzy you say i should get an 18g because i am going to want to have more power later on and have room to grow. so would i be albe to run an 18g right now at stock boost levels without damaging anything and then start getting the supporting mods?

That I do not know because I don't have first hand experience with that. So unless someone else has done it and posts, my personal opinion is to do a Evo316G because I KNOW it will work. Bolt it on with the install kit. Do gauges as your first supporting mods. And when running stock fuel amounts, keep the boost low. Then, do your tuning and fuel at the same time (AFC/Injectors/Pump, DSMLink/Injectors/Pump, etc) along with a boost controller of some kind (MBC, EBC). Another thing I forgot to mention in my earlier posts, if all you ever plan on running at is that 350hp goal on the Evo3, then all you would need for a fuel pump would be a 190lph or an Evo 8/9 fuel pump. The 255lph is only really needed for larger turbo applications.

...whats you goal HP and the 1/4 mi? If you are looking to get into 10sand 11s go with a

FP 3065 Turbo
1000cc Injectors
255 and 190 LPH Fuel Pump rewired
good suspension and shock play a big roll.
FMIC
Shep trans.com (rebulit tranny
2600 clutch and pressure plate 6 puck
new tires and 17 in rims that are light
D-Link
LSD
and recirc the BOV hard piping everything you can
and you will be able to "match pretty much everything you see that looks fast"

WTF, seriously? Short on cash means no FP's. Did you even read the whole thread? The OP already stated their hp goal. 2 fuel pumps? Instead of taking up server space and throwing out a whole bunch of parts, actually try and help the OP.

which kind of boost controller do you recomend? manual or electronic and once i get the fuel mods to go with the turbo what boost do you recomend for me to be at or stay under with the e316g. I think i will go with the 190 fp and probably 650cc injectors and i don't know about dsmlink or not yet i need to look into it. when i was looking around at it i found this

DSMLink - Ordering
hope that works

so if i go with the DSMLink V2 package w/socket service i won't need to find an eprom ecu like you were talking about earlier right? i can just send in a stock one and they will but the chip in

1) Whatever your motor feels happy at for boost. Boost controller is what ever you would prefer. Manual boost controllers are mounted in the engine bay and are adjusted with a turn knob. The Electronic one is engine mounted as well with the vac hoses, but then the actual knob is a electric one that you mount somewhere inside the cabin.

2) I bought mine through DSMLink directly so I wouldn't have to worry about scams.

3) Still would need an Epromo ECU out of a 95 turbo DSM. From this thread, greddyturbo19 posted a picture of a non Eprom and a Eprom ECU.

As you can see, the Eprom has that chip on the bottom right hand corner. This chip gets replaced with the actual DSMLink chip they send you. If you find a Eprom ECU, then you can just send it into them and they will socket it and install the chip for you. If all of this is a bit foreign to you, I would HIGHLY suggest reading up on how tuning with either a AFC or DSMLink works.

The Evo III 16G is a great turbo. Lighter than the big an small 16G an flows more for the same price. The 400hp that they say its rated for isnt the top end of it. With work to them an better parts on them they can get more than that. But even if you dont want alot of HP now the Evo III on stock boost at 7psi will give you 275hp untuned. Acording to my DSMLink pull I did when I first installed my turbo. I needed to rise my advance on it too the Torque was 285lbs. Funny to me more Torque than HP.

I'll agree with the first part but have to disagree with the second. To get 400whp out of an evoIII IS really pushing it & not typical results of your average tuner (on straight pump gas).

Also there are alot of variables with the DSMLink HP estimate, if you haven't filled out all the properties correctly/to match your setup, if your not on level road, etc can greatly effect the results & even if everything is perfect, its still just a mathematical estimate. A stock T25 is usually good for around the 250 crank hp mark at around 13psi (could set the boost abit higher but its going to drop to this range eitherway). An evoIII, while it can flow a tonn more air vs the T25 while running alot more boost, it isn't going to do so at similar or lower boost levels. At 7 psi on the evoIII, you would be luckey to see similar levels as the T25 at 12-13 psi. To see that 275 whp on a typical evoIII setup (with stock IM, cams, head, etc) you'll normally need somewhere around the 17-18psi range.

To the OP, that is an Eprom ecu that you've linked to & does appear to be in good condition. You could always try & see if the seller can get some nice close up pics, so you can verify everything is still in top notch condition. That is what your after, maybe you should remove your link as you will be giving yourself some competition ;)
