Time for a new motor

Did a compression test today and she read right around 50 PSI on all 4 cylinders. Yes, you read that correctly. FIFTY PSI across the board. I'm surprised she's still running . Any recommendations on where to get a new motor? My long-term goal is 400-500 hp as a DD

Even 2 cylinders that low will make it kind of hard to start. If your car starts and runs, your compression tester may be wrong.

Just have your engine rebuilt, AFTER you check that it's not just bad valves.

Wow, if your testing procedure was correct and your gauge is not bad that is crazy. I would look into a few things before you go for a new build, things like cam timing will effect your compression.

Also was this test done hot, throttle wide open, ect?

There are several reports of them taking FOREVER to respond to people and send out products.

I had a issue where something I ordered was out of stock and it took something like three weeks for them to tell me that.

Whenever I have ordered from them in the past I have never gotten a shipping notice of any kind.

I believe someone ordered a motor from them not too long ago and something was missing. I can't remember if it was them 100% but I am pretty sure it was.


Lucas English builds GREAT motors and I'm fairly sure they are starting to ship them. If you are rich and shit out money Magnus is the best.

I used 2 different testers. Both were at my tech class, and of good quality.

Car was just under normal operating temperature. Throttle was wide open

False alarm! Did another compression test today with yet another gauge and was reading 135ish across the board. Also did a leak test and all 4 cylinders were leaking less than 20%

That sounds about right. The car wouldn't even start with only 50 psi in each cylinder.
