time for a new BOV..?

here's the problem with my crushed 1g BOV... everytime i drive and let it boost about 5-10 psi and than letting it off the gear, i can hear the bov going off and my rpm would drop to 500 and than climb back up to 850... sometime it would stall on me... if i dont let it boost and just drive it normally, everytime i shift, the rpm doesn't drop like that. i haven't had any problem with this until recently.

also, i'm not venting my 1g BOV anymore, but its almost as loud as when i was venting it before i changed my setup. is this normal..?

If you want to get your car running right, then re-circulate the BOV. our cars are not meant to be vented like that. That's why your RPMs are actin weird and your car is stalling. re-vent the BOV and your problem should be fixed.

also, i'm not venting my 1g BOV anymore

when i was venting the bov i had the maf-t so i had no problem with venting it... it was all good.. but now i decided to no vent it anymore. i'll check again to make sure that all my clamps are tight and see if it'll do it anymore, if not i'll try to move the gm mass to closer to the throttle body and see if that help...

anything else i should look at..? maybe my 1g BOV can't handle my 60-1 turbo at 20+ psi...?

You should definatly run a boost leak test. That should be obvious. Check your plugs also, make sure they're still good. If a problem is RPM related, check for boost leaks and check your plugs before you do anything else and it'll usually save you from logging on and typing a message.
 
My car was doing that same thing and I found out that my bov gasket was completely shot and needed replacement, along with a hole in the return tube. Just take everything apart, inspect, and replace.
 
i replaced my pcv valve a couple of weeks ago and went back to check on it and it sounds like it was leaking from there a little for some odd reason... gave it a good 1/2 turn and it cracked... i would jb weld it but it's pretty bad so i'll have to get another valve cover... :( :notgood:

my bov gasket is pretty much brand new, only had it on for 2 weeks the most.
