We dialed the car back to 520whp for shakedown.

I dont know what run group we are in exactly, I'm not a NASA member but Matt, the driver is and he reserved the spot for us.

I'm sure you guys are more than welcome to come watch us. The only thing is that we may be really really busy depending on how right/wrong things go. So please nobody take it personally if we're running around like chickens without heads! But hopefully its not too bad where we can relax and chat it up.

crazy day... fast typing
KW does not have the springs we need in stock have to ship from germany, nobody makes 61mm ID springs.

Building new lower perches today for 2.5" hypercoils. Screw that 61mm cant get springs when you need them..

Shipping front hypercoils + helpers overnight found a place in stock.

Driving 4 hours to get rear springs and on the way to machinist now.

I take leave from Iraq in August and I'll be in Colorado / California. Do you happen to have a schedule of the races you may possibly be attending? I would love to drive out to support your efforts, if I can't make it anytime then I would love to check out the car next season after all the kinks are worked out and this thing is breaking records!!

Thanks again for all the kind words Andrew, car is looking good, even that uneven hood can't take away from the sexiness! I wish I could do some body work like that guy!! Some awesome stuff! I'll stick to fiberglassing! LOL.

Good luck again and keep it up!!

the entire vents on that scoote 2 hood are not centered. I'm going to have to live with it for now still happy overall with the look. They are both not centered and not parallel with the car. The hood is officially a POS but he's trying to make it work the best possible

When I asked about this hood over a year ago on this site I caught so much shit. LOL

I love it. What's really crazy is how similar our build plans are. Your way ahead of me now though. I'm just about to start stich welding mine.

Also are those the Variant 3 coilovers?

Love the car and this thread rocks!

Thanks for doing it.

That bumper is sick! Everything looks awesome, hopefully you guys are able to get everything done on time.

OK, things got crazy, type fast.

Work list is big still, body shop behind schedule everything is squeezed. Organized a work schedule in shifts, 1-2 people working on the car 24 hours a day for the next 72 hours. Body shop to deliver 4am tomorrow bret will transport 8 hours back home and I'll fly home tomorrow to organize and line everything up get sleep for overnight work thurs. Wish us luck.

I gotta say a HUGE thank you to Bret Collmer for being a true friend. What a soilder this guys been by my side 24 hours a day for 5 days now. Couldnt have done this without him. Nick Salyer from NS fab for rolling with me out to the body shop to sort out the electrical gremlins. And the guys at Angry panda (body shop) have been working till 2-4am every day for like 3 weeks now and I think on 24 hour shift till thurs 0400

OK back to work will update hopefully if I can

Wow, I just read this whole thread from front to back and all I can say is holy shit. And good luck. And...wicked awesome car!

I have been hoping and wishing someone (hell I want to but don't have the funds) would do this for a while now. I seriously have dreamed about DSM's in time attack races since day one. Always wondered how one built like this would stack up to some of the time attack Evo's and what not.

a little delirious right now but heres a pic. Honestly the body is still looking REALLY rough: primer or worse but its the best we got for now and I'm trying to clean it all up.

hopefully nasa is OK with how rough the car still looks. Need to do a lot of cleanup right now and just running around like crazy

Just want to say that your pretty much doing an amazing job so far, especially with the time restraints you have to work with. My guess is that everyone on dsmtuners is watching this blog closely and that your accomplishing many peoples dream build from a GS-T. Keep up the good work. :thumb:
