I just thought I'd share this.

I had a ticking/tapping sound coming from valve cover area for a couple months, ever since I bought the 2G. Pretty much sounded like noisy valves. Anyway, I wasn't sure what to make of it, but was focused on other things and wasn't driving it much.

Well one day I leaned on the spark plug wire while running, and the sound got louder.

It was a loose spark plug!! :ohdamn: Tightened it up, and it's silent now.

It was running strong actually... Only took about a quarter turn. I suppose the compression was squeezing it tight against the threads, but when theres vacuum (idling) you'd hear it. Keep in mind I hadn't put many miles on it, maybe 50. Had too many other things going on. Gotta love finding these funny things wrong with a car that was the prev owner's daily driver (supposedly).
