Ok there are two boost reference ports on the tial wastegate. I have the bottom one hooked up to a boost source directly off of the turbo itself. I want to use a ball and spring type mbc to control boost. In the instructions it says to hook it up to the top port on the tial. Wouldnt it be easier to just hook it to the bottom port and leave nothing connected to the top port?? Im just curious if the top port is for solenoid based electronic boost controllers and not ball and spring mbc's.

Right now I am running around 12 lbs of boost and want to pump it up to around 20. Which port do I use with an mbc? Which is easiest? Anyone with a tial tell me how you set it up. Pictures of my setup are in my gallery photos. Thanks for the space. Sean

Just hook it up to the side port and leave the top open (you can look in my gallery.) I have a Tial 35mm (similar to the 38mm) + the Dejon Tool MBC and it works just fine like that. Using both ports is required when running EBCs that are solenoid based type as you stated. :thumb:
