Throwout Bearing Clip

Hey all,
Checked the forums first and couldnt come up with anything on this topic other then "note the orientation when removing the old one." What is the proper orientation when installing the throwout bearing clip/ring? I wasn't the one to remove it and its been a month since I yanked this trans off so I don't remember what it looked like then. Thanks in advance.

See if this picture helps at all:

The round part goes around the throw out bearing and the two ends go in the two holes on either prong on the clutch for I believe.

ok...but does the half circle of the clip go around the side of the throwout bearing opposite the fork, or on the same side...or doesnt it matter? thanks

I believe it's the opposite. I'm pretty sure, but not 100%. Putting it around the same side just doesn't make sense to me.

Just put it on where the clip is holding the TOB to the release arm. It only goes on one way if you're looking at it and thinking about what it does ( and that's holding the bearing to the arm).
