throwout bearing question

i did some searching but didnt really help...the bearing makes a loud noise when the clutch is only out so i know its muffed up...but the weird thing is it goes away after the car warms up some...5th gear isnt there also..it goes in but doesnt grab (u can hear it trying) my local dsm guys in town say the throwout bearing will cause this but i have never heard of a throw out keeping it from 5th...any ideas before i start tranny shopping..its also a 420a car if that helps

sound like a clutch or a trans problem. I'm leaning toward a broke trans.

thats what im leaning towards, every other gear works great so im going to just rock it out till i pick up my new trans and clutch, figured i couldnt get lucky with a 30 dollar part fixing it

2. Is you clutch adjusted properly?

Check and make sure your shift linkage is adjusted properly, if its not then you could have issues shifting into certain gears
