I just swapped out my CC. only noticed a lighter pedal feel. no it did not make my car faster in anyway shape or form. now I am used to it and feels the same as before. Also I think you are "misusing" the term "throttle-response". Throttle response typically refers to the engine or power response to change in throttle. IE how fast your engine revs up or car accelerates compared to when from cruising to WOT. Since our cars run on a cable style throttle, it would be impossible to "improve" throttle response by your definition. A cable is going to move as fast as a cable. Now with an electric throttle, and actuators or solenoids, yes I can imagine your definition of TR may hold some water.

Typically when someone says throttle response, they mean how fast does your car accelerate (or engine rev) in RESPONSE to to your throttle pressing. I have never heard of it in your reference.

yes I figured it would not make the car faster but I was wondering if the power would get from my foot to the throttle body faster if it did not have all that other stuff

I noticed a difference when I took my cruise out. Granted, it was not in the best shape to begin with but my pedal feel improved a lot. I believe the difference came from a reduction in the pedal drag/tension. It snaps back faster and feels smoother.
