For all you guys running big turbos and making killer power, what kind of crank pulley and dampener are you running. Is the stock oem one good enough to rev to 8500-9000rpm with a balanced crank. The way the power comes on in my car is at about 5500rpm I make 230ish whp, than at 6500rpm ,just a 1000rpm later, whp jumps to 552.....it was while under a 3rd gear pull at 6500rpm that my crank pulley broke and thrashed the motor. Since I'm rebuilding the motor, I'm looking for suggestions that you guys have about OEM vs Aftermarket pulleys and dampeners.

Can you post a pull? What are you getting your numbers from?

it's a Main Bearing Cap Alignment Dowel kit. It's available from MachV motorsports. It's only to be used with ARP studs. the link is below. If i hadn't already spent so much money having my engine built, i'd take it all apart and throw those in now. just as insurance. but, i'll get around to it. here's the link:

the numbers are from a dyno run on a dynapack dyno. 110 Octane , 12" timing advance, 30psi. I'm goin to try to scan the dyno plot and post it up for you guys. The power curve is ridiculous, but by the time it hits, I only have a few rpms before I have to shift. My rev limiter is set at 8000rpm now but i want to push it up to 8500- 9000rpm to get the most power out of the car...to do this somewhat safely ;) im looking for solid advice from personal experience with guys reving that high and wat dampner /pulley they are using

Before my flywheel let go i was revving to 9000 with a balanced/knifed crank. read profile for old mods. stock puller and dampener. Was only making 310 hp. but high revving none the less.

Well after hearing several of your guys' input, I've decided to go with a brand new oem setup......it seems like they hold up just as well as anything else. Thanks for the suggestions guys ....Kev
