so here i have been trying to find out why i keep getting boost surging
so i do a leak down test using the handy testing tool like the tech article says
and i find this hard vacuum line running from the intake to the egr valve
(yes i still have it on)

think this might have been my problem
it was laying against the metal egr piping
and when i pressurized the system it whistled like a songbird

easy fix for this one

I guess you mean an intake leak test and not a leak down test? Two different things.

But yes, if you pressurized the system and that line was leaking than it was a boost leak.

sorry leak down has to do with the piston rings i think
my bad

but yes this critter was hissing pretty bad
i couldnt get my piping to hold pressure at all

when i took it for a drive today
it was like a brand new car
