I got scammed by a shop back when I got my motor replaced. They sold me a cyclone intake and kept my original intake and my A/C compressor for theirselves. Yeah I agreed to it and yes I feel stupid now.
I'm starting to gather that its the cyclone intake that's responsible for the loss of hp on the high end. The shop told me that it was due to blockage in the cat but I had that replaced and saw no improvement.

Here's the question then....
I doubt that I will ever build this car out to more than the stage 1 upgrade path here on the site, so can I just locate another 1g intake manifold and swap that back on or is there a higher flowing alternative that can be had for the same dollars?
Also need to ask, will my throttlebody match up or is it a different design on the cyclone?

Yes a stock usdsm 2.0 intake manifold will bolt right on. Hop on ebay and pick one up for under $40. US throttle body's are the same size as the JDM style ones, but the JDM ones have less vaccum nipples.

Get a "Turbo" style intake manifold, it has 1 more vaccum nipple than the NT manifold.
Get a 1990 year specific turbo throttle body 91-94 are different.

The USDM one is better I had the cyclone on mine and switched to a magnus thats night and day but everyone agrees the cyclone is not as good.
