Are my Cooling Fans kicking in too late?

I'm having overheating problems like many people here, I checked to se at what time the fans would come on with my logger and when the temp hits 222 they both come on, wich i think it's king of late, and also the main fan never turns on by it's self. I already changed the thermostat, my next step is a radiator flush out and change the cap. but for now i'm wondering if the main fan is suppose to come on at an eatlier time and if when both fans come on is a little to late?
I know that fmic can cause overheating problems but my car was fine until just recently i notice that the temp gauge would go up until the send little line on the picture.

For 2G's, the main fan comes on at 210F on low. Check your low fan relay and fuse to see if they are still good. Goodluck.

I dont know if this will help But when I installed my FMIC, I took that duct work
and Hacked it up and used the Sides of it so when Im cruising the air flow would not
go around the the radiator but force it through. And my temps so far are staying down.

Faulty coolant temp sensor. Or like above said check all your relays to see if they work still.

Turned on the car and let it idle till it got to 200+ degrees hot and i didn't see the main fan come on until the ac fan came on with it at 222 degrees so i let the car sit for a while and then i did the same test but this time i put a 12v tester on the wire wich sends the lo signal i belive and i realise that when my car came to 210 degrees the tester would show signal but the fan would not come on so i replaced the fan with my friends and sure enough the fan kicked in at 210 degrees and shut off at 200 now i haven't test drove it because it's to late all ready but do you guys think that was my problem?

The low speed motor of the fan is probably bad. Just look for another fan from the junkyard or e-bay and you should be good to go.

But I rewired up my coolant fans to were they both stay on all the time as long as the ignitions on and I originally did this because my fans were lazy too and I was getting too hot. All i did was run a wire to the ignition fuse, and ran it to the engine bay to the wiring to the coolant fans and spliced it in with a blue and orange wire and thats all. ( But dont run that wire off the battery or like a 12v supply will be too much power to tap into and will burn up the wire. )I would show you how I did mines but you have a 2g and I dont know if the fan set up and wiring is different which it probably is.... A lot of ppl will argue about the effieciency and longevity of hooking your fans up this way but Ive been running mines like that for over a yr now with no problems, and my temps stay cool, and this helps down here in fl, besides I dont believe you should wait until it gets hot to cool it down when it comes to fans because the exhaust manifold is constantly throwing around heat in your engine bay heat soaking everything.
