Thermostat housing 1g N/T & turbo different?

I cant remember and have never really messed with the n/t's so I was wondering can there thermostat housings be used on a turbo dsm? Our local junkyard never has turbo dsm's so I dont want to waste my time going down there if the n/t housing wont work.

if it is the 4g63 n/t it should work

It is missing provisions for turbo coolant and oil cooler. The holes are cast into the housing. All you have to do is drill them open, tap to 1/8npt, and get 2- 3/8barbed screw in fittings which will connect the coolant hoses to the missing ports on the n/t housing.

Thank you, I was not thinking. My oil cooler is removed and I plugged that one. That just makes it easier. Thanks again.

Jack at jacktransmissions.com had one sitting around. Looked through a box of 2g housings and luckily found one 1g housing.
