get a core off ebay and have hardpiping made...u also dont need a fmic on a stock turbo...kind of pointless...the point of a front mount is the more air you compress(more boost with more air flow(bigger turbo) the air molecules bounce around more and hit eachother heating the air... a fmic isnt needed on a t25)the intercooler is larger to expose a larger area for cooling the air...
here is a upgraDE path...it will save you time trying to find parts you dont need yethere

anyone have 2g intercooler piping/intercooler? (front mount) for sale or know of a good place to get one? as to the gauge pod...i think im just gonna get one that covers the whole pillar... :coy:

What mods do you have on it now? I think you should put your money towards something else first before buying a new intercooler, unless your current side-mount is messed up. First get a 3'' exhaust, boost controller, fuel pump, airfilter, bov/upper intercooler pipe, and a new turbo before you get the front mount. You also may want to throw in a new clutch as well, but mine and parkers stock clutches have held up pretty well - just try not to slip it! Also, if you want to get a gauge pod got to logiteks(sp?) website - they have full a-pillar pods for cheap and great matching colors. I doubt that 'universal' piece she has will fit your car anyways.

Sure, I could drop it off if you decide to buy it.
i think i want it but i'm not sure if i want to go with a 2.4L or a high rev 2.0L yet. do u think it will have to go 40 over? :talon:

Im pretty sure its gonna need .040 over pistons. I already had a set of .020 overs in it. .040's and a 2.4 liter crank in a 2.0 block is roughly 2.37 liters if I remember correctly.

k no intercooler...anyone know the difference between the type S and RS greddy BOVs? i was thinking either of those...or the ssq... probably just gonna look for a 190 fuel pump dont really think ill need anything bigger...looking at the N1 for exhaust, just really like it. and yeah need new intake/filter. but need a job most of all haha

the rs is vent to atmospere...the s is recirced...recirc is the way to go unless u have a maft blow through setup or VPC...
the ssq isnt a bad blow off valve they sell a recirc kit which is good!

n1 is a sick exhaust...a bit pricey tho...u can buy a n1 muffler at summit for cheap and have a full 3" made for cheap...they sell knockoffs on ebay aswell...have you decided what turbo you are going to go with? a 2.5 will be fine on most turbos...i do recall josh going 11.70 on a 2.5 bushur exhaust...and smaller turbos are fine on 2.5 exhaust...so for the money buy a muffler and flex section take it to a muffler shop(i can recommend one for exhaust and intercooler piping)i bet with it all you can have a 2.5 turbo back which is all you will need for close to half the price of the true apexi n1...you can buy flex sections from slowboyracing.com and go to ebay and search apexi n1 they are cheap man and just as good as a high dollar apexi...remember on most parts you are paying for the name...

intake is a good start...that would be my first mod...

the RS isnt just vent to atmosphere, you can get the recirculation for it no doubt, it comes with both the attachments to either vent or recirc...i think i might get that RS one...the ssq is more $ too....and as far as that goes, exhaust i dono quite yet, need $ and job, upper ic piping im going to get this one off of the tuners page. parker has it, its the dave brode one, so i have to email him and such. need to see how much money i have. but yeah, need a job for sure

i didnt know they came with recirc stuff...oh well id never buy one of them anyway...

job=more parts

Just throw a 1g valve on there. Aftermarket valves are g@y unless your running over 22psi (which is when the 1g valve starts to leak).

how about you do some searching on the internet and learn the same way everyone else did? you dont need a whole lot of stuff to make your car run quick. id say get an exhaust, BOV, 14b/16g, fuel pump, afc, and some race gas and youd be happy.

n e ways............

hey john hows the project coming...we did a compression test on shanes car...not impressed at all...120-90-120-120 yeah the service limit is like 133...so we have a lil more digging into the motor and we will begin building a new mofo!

Its a 4g63 u never ask why or how u just roll with the blows and fix it as you go. if u can afford it. :talon:

Didn't you just get that engine rebuilt though?

not rebuilt... they had to replace the motor it supposedly was a 30,000 mile motor but the compression was goofed when they put the motor in...we are pretty sure its rings with the compression it has now...we wont know unless we rip it open...so planning on doing the smart thing and rebuild a 6 bolt...for more power to...shane gets boost happy on this setup!

you will have to see this vid i have of it...

Only if you want to lend me 5 grand to finally build my car up. :) By the way...becareful under the hood of your DSM....it might fall and split your head open. :( LOL!

Whats wrong with it now?

rings...same thing its been down for the last 3 weeks for...i squirted oil into the lowest compression cyliner(90) and did another compression test and it jumped to 125...

oh and we found a block...a guy is gonna give me a 6 bolt block and head if i install his motor for him(actually all i will have to do is his harness and tell him how to put it back together)...this guy couldnt get the motor out. he called me because he was jacking the motor and it wasnt coming out. he forgot the tranny mount and the axles. so 20 minutes later it was out...the block will go into the machine shop after we get it...get bored .020 over and new goodies inside...

my buddys shop is opening in 2 weeks...complete with dyno and all anyone who wants to go lemme know.

Dyno? Me please. Where is this at? Whats it called? What kind of dyno?

do you know where ralston is? the cereal plant? its on that same street glendale i think or greg(i suck with streets)...the shop is forcefed racing...i have no clue what kind of dyno it is but it is a 2wd dyno...they have been installing it all week...he is a dealer for AEM ems...

lemme know when you want to go...
