Too bad some of you guys left. It kinda got better. There was a secret 1g there that no one knew about! It had a turbo-netix T3/T4 .50 trim, turbo-netix manifold... eveything. He said he ran a 12.7@117. (Yeah... I dont know about the high trap). Anywho.. I went for a ride in it.. it was pretty quick. I really nice car.
 
Damn... I shouda stuck around. It will still cool though. Definitely got me motivated to get my TSI fixed up. :talon:

Ah.. that sounds somewhat better. :p Heh.. Im glad you made it on. People usually go out on fridays and sats. I just want to get some decent cars out there again. We need to figure out something to do... so we're all not just sitting around and talking. Maybe we can meet up with the subaru guys on thursday nights - they're really cool guys. I need to check out your car Jerel, I need to see how that thing is tuned! :talon:

Im assuming by the way you say you "guess" it ran 12.7@111, that you didnt mod the car, and you bought it that way. The previous owner ran a 12.7@111, correct?
 
Thursday night would be cool. I'm personally not a big fan of WRXs, but since it has a turbo and AWD, it's all good. How many of them out there?
Josh, do you still have your DSM and some of your parts?

I still have the car. I'll be putting a motor in it in several months. I still have the VPC, upper intercooler pipe, chipped ECU, fuel pump and 4 bolt rear end.. I also have 3 trannies.
I'll be putting the car back together with a stock turbo, and just messin with it a little, nothing too in depth. My other car should be ready for paint in about 3 weeks.
 
Man, I thought sti's were rare, but it seems like I see them all the time. evo viii's are definitely harder to come by on the streets than the sti's.

So what's the new car Josh? Are you going domestic on us? OMG Once I get my car in a decent shape, would be willing to sell your 4 bolt?

This morning in Carson, I burned a primered civic hatchback. Hehehe.
 
if any bodys intereseted in doing some driving through some nice roads on fridays and saturdays a group of about 10 cars does some driving around Windy hill and up above caughlin ranch...pretty fun...nice cars...

i was expecting more dsm's last saturday...i was told there were gonna be a bunch...oh well still got to see some nice ones...

it was turbo for awhile...i have my syncro out in 3rd gear and it pops out of second...the tranny was a lil screwy when i bought the car...but after 2mos with the turbo on there it decided to get screwed to the point that when boost kicked in it popped out of gear...

who are you referring too sp00ln...
 
You. I dont know how that would affect your tranny and throw it out of wack. And I dont know about your THIRD gear syncro being messed up and it popping out of SECOND. Also, my first gear syncro would mess up on my GST but not after moving. And I doubt your turbo (.60....) could make enough power to push your gear out at 40-50mph. Also, to just "remove" a turbo charged system like that would take ALOT of time and money. And how did your buddy make your manifold? Just whipped it up? Do you have two sets of exhausts? What are you doing with your left over parts? Like your intercooler, fuel pump, injectors, afc, exhaust pieces, manifold, wastegate, ect. :confused: Shit, you must have fixed your compression right? After you removed the turbo system your car would run like shit if you didn't...
 
my tranny was slightly messed when i picked the car up...The third gear would grind about every 2-3 up shifts into the gear never on downshifts...after 2 weeks of owning the car the clutch went out bad...the guys said it was a grenaded clutch...my slave cylinder was out and my transmission mount was out...

after adding the Turbo With a custom welded exhaust manifold...i ran oil lines and return lines... for the actual intercooler i had a i believe the meausurements were 20x5x3 really skinny...fit my stock opening with a lil room on the top...

the fuel pump was used from a 3000gt vr4...the afc was controlled with a APEXi afc2 that piece was stolen while i was out of town...

the exhaust was a custom built manifold the downpipe was 2.5" i had it bolt up at the cat to the same exhaust i have on there now...all the parts are at the same place i do all my work...

if you didnt notice that night my car doesnt run quite right still runs rich, misfires, second gear grinds, 3rd gear grinds...i have a vaccum leak that is located by my charcoal filter...
