And to add to the last post.

You have to choose between a car with:
2.3L Crower Rods Wiseco Pistons
Haltech E11 ECU with AIM MXL Pro05 Digital Dash
OEM ATX DSM tranny

And between a car with:
2.0L engine
OEM DSM ECU
OEM ATX DSM tranny

The body it's a dsm body, the engine it's a real dsm engine (not a hybrid from hyundai/dsm), the ecu it's oem and the transmission...

In my book, if you want to play with Big Boy be a Big Boy. Work hard, go to the track, make some good times. If you are not the quicker.... Work harder... My 2 cents!

Go ahead and make up your own mind on how you want to classify them then. I'm certainly not trying to take anything away from Frank and Serge. Hell, I'm happy when they do well. They are running some of my parts and it certainly doesn't hurt me in any way to see them running fast.

Personally, I still group Scott's accomplishment separate of theirs.

Oh yeah, and although my trans and the Camo Racing trans is an OEM trans, neither is exactly a 'stock' piece, nor is their ECU (DSMLink) or either of our engines. Tic - we're also talking both cars that have custom rear suspensions and were stripped down to the unibody tub to begin the builds (within the past two years). If you're trying to argue a more 'true' or more 'street' car for either, both fail that test horribly and I don't think it is a valid way to compare anything. They are race cars.

Alright this thread has officially been whored.. lets leave it alone now and go out and race this season!

Scott - what rpm does your converter go to at zero boost? As in, when you are on the brakes and stab the gas to start building boost, what rpm does it begin at?

You know I dont really pay attention to that much.. right before I launch it ends up at about 4200 but instantly I would say it goes to around 3300-3500ish.

it took me a second to understand what you were talking abotu kiggly, thats a good question.

on a side note i wish i could see the video, damn these military computers. any1 got a windows media file where i can click and watch in media player?

Thanks Scott, take a closer look at rpm's next time you go for a ride please. That is pretty similar to what I'm running if it is around 3500rpm at zero boost.

For the off-topic banter:
Brent's car is a 5-speed clutchless shifted pro-stock style transmission (overrunning dogs) with a slipper clutch. I believe his is a G-Force. It sounds like an auto because power isn't ever lifted, but it is NOT. Now stop whoring Scott's thread and I will do the same!

Kevin

hm i was under the understanding that from the time the rpm's climb from idle, you would build boost. (im all kinds of confused now) LOL..
