how much do you guys think i could sell my car for i need to move on to new project.
its a 99 rs with 62100 miles on the body upgrades are

engine rebuild with 8:8:1 wiesco forged pistons
all clevite bearings
high flow oil pump
eagle h beam forged rods
new water pump timing belt
all new gaskets engine since rebuild only has 500 miles on it

exterior
full bomex body kit also have stock bumper molded side skirts
euro carbon fiber taillights
vis evo style hood
angel eye black housing projectors

fuel
i have 450 injectors
greddy emanage with support tool and map sensor to read boost

ignition msd dis2 hooked up to a hobbs switch to retard timing under boost

suspension
agx adjustable struts with eibach pro series spring
front and rear strut bars
18 inch icon gunmetal rims with polished lip
nitto neo gen tires


apexi n1 from catback from gst also removed cat

also have star stage 2 kit on for only 3 months

interior stock except for boost guage also air fuel
also have kenwood cd player upgraded stock speakers to pioneer
aso have 2 10 inch pioneer premiers in custom box with 1000 watt amp

thats all car is in really good condition don't have pics camera broke yesterday need new one also car is emerald green back bumper has a crack in it but nothing major going to get car dyno tuned at cft before i sell also just want to know how muck i could get for it before i decide to sell thanx later :D

hey want to sell me the forged pistons and rods for 150 :D pretty please......your guna sell the car anyways!! haha but you could get a good upper 7 probly for it not to sure but almost positive a higher 10 might be able to get reach cause with less then 100k miles it goes up a lot.
 
With what you had, I'd put a a sticker of 11g's on it and see what people offer you. Turbo has barely been on and car is under 100 000 miles. If I were you I'd go to nada.com and find out how much your car is worth without performance mods, then add about 40% of what you spent on it. (however that can only go so high too) I'm thinking like an extra 4-5g's for everything on that car.

Thats why I don't plan on getting rid of my project for a really long time. I'm gonna run this built motor till its ready to go. Brand new motor, means almost brand new miles. Good luck with your next project.
 
currently, i own a 90 TSi. But my friend is selling a part car for $300. I could probably get it for 250. But my question is, is it worth it?
The vehicle has new rebuilt head (not even on the car) and bottom end
ACT Stage 2 Clutch
Tokico Blue
H&R Springs
Borla Exhaust
Autometer Boost Gauge
Manual Boost Controller

I could probably swap out a lot of things. My head is already rebuilt as well as the bottom end. But would it be worth it?
I need some parts like leather seats (got clean ones on the part car)
also need new gas tank and pump because mine has fume leak
New fuel rail and injectors.
What is your opinion?
I am thinking after swapping out everything, I was going to turn back and sell the parts, like tranny and motor and the shell.
 
Is the car worth it?
You'll have to make that decision. Don't ask us this question in the forums either - it's too subjective. Only you can answer this question, and with the information you've collected above, it shouldn't be too difficult to answer. Offer only as much as you're willing to pay. If the car has high mileage, keep in mind that you may have to keep money aside for major repairs, just as you would with any car. The car is only "worth it" if YOU think it is.

You'll probably make that back on the trany alone. If you have the time and space to piddle with a parts car I say go for it. I know I wouls if I had that opportunity.

Hell, if it runs I may come buy the thing myself!
 
If you can get it for $250, yeah, I would do it. If all else fails, you can resell some of the shit on the car (and part out the rest to sell) and make a lot more money than you bought it for.
 
ok....i found this 93 laser rs for sale at about $1900....i idnt have time to get specs on it bc it was just a "hey look at that car for sale! Leats go look at it"...so the owner wasnt there or anybody acctually so me and my friend jus did a quick check.....on the bad note it has rust on the front left roter and the front left fender is also broken off but i was gonna replace it anyway....umm...the paint was kinda chippin...and thats bout it.....interior is great.....5 speed short shifter......only rust we came across was on the rotar.....nuthin wrong with engine as far as we could tell (leaks,cracks or holes in hoses, etc.) but i think its pretty cool so do you hombres think itll be worth the dizzough....or should i try and negotiate the price a little

But close to 5G for that year?
i wouldn't buy it unless it runs perfect.
You can get clean 2gen for 6000.
at least around that price locally here.
 
Hell no. It better be PERFECT to even think about that. I got my 97 last spring for 5700 with some minor problems. I know prices have gone up, but keep looking, take your time, and snag the PERFECT one for you.
 
It has a new buscher (spelling) tranny, 16g and some misc little things. It seems to be in good condition... He has the paper work for it from 1999. What should i realisticaly offer him. Keep in mind that there are not to many around my area. Thank you
 
You can get a nicer 1g for $2,000. I would never pay that much, considering I just got a clean 95 GSX for $4,500.
 
Run a carfax...

Seems a little sketchy to me ...Car could have more problems than he is letting on
...He might take the down payment and run
...The price seems kinda low to me

But for 430 dollars, i would definitely look into it.
He has a lengthy Ebay record also, (By lengthy I mean he has had transactions that date back years)


You be the judge, there is always a risk.
 
It seems nice for what he says it is but you should still see it first hand. Make sure none of the ears on the block are broken.
