With 94,000 i would make sure you know when the timing belt was changed or if it ever was. Dont want no one to make the mastake i did.
If thay say they dont know i would have it done as soon as you bye it.
 
how much does a timing belt change cost?.... anything else i should get done right away???

Yes! you would throw a c e l. As a matter of fact I REALLY didn't notice the bad gas mileage until I had a friend log for me. I thought it was my lead foot.
 
a friend just blew his trans, & was thinking about parting it out. whats this enigne worth to DSMers? thanks!
 
I got a 95 Eclipse GS. It has new Apex'i N1 Exhaust (less than 200 miles), Pinzetti 17 in. wheels with Toyo Proxxess tires (2500 miles on tires and wheels) 33,000 miles on motor 133,000 on frame. Ingen CAI, Coilovers, Custom Paint, Rear Spoiler. Everything on inside is in perfect condition. Little painted stuff on inside. Paint is less than a month old. What do you think I could sell it for? No problems with motor, no CE light or anything. Perfect running condition. Whats it worth. Thanks alot. Later :cool:
 
I'd give you 5k flat and that's GENEROUS.

Who cares about the paint, wheels, coilovers, whatever. Unless you're running super exclusive rims (Which I know Pinzinittii aren't), wheels aren't going to make a price difference. N/T DSM's are dime a dozen. Plus it's the less lucrative "Smiley face" front end, along with a few bargin basement mods that make it appear that the car was flogged.

Go find a riceboy in training and sell it to him for 6k.

Its got the 98 conversion and the projector headlights. I forgot to add that in at first. The paint job costs $1200. Pinzetti aren't top of the line but they are nice and they are nearly brand new. They cost $600 new. Gotta get some more ideas. Its only got 33,000 miles. Thats low mileage. Let me know what you think.
 
i sold my old non turbo for 7k. It was just like yours but it had a full body kit. Custom paint too. Engine ran perfect absolutely nothing wrong with it at all

I would say your not going to get much more than 7k for your car. Nobody cares about those non turbo engine to pay much more than that. If you ask for any higher they are going to tell you to fu(k off cuz they can get a turbo for that price.
 
I sold my old 95 GS, with NO bodykit, just intake, 17" Chrome wheels, side vinyl grafix, and exaust, with 105,000 miles for $10,500. :)
Turned it around, took the money to pay off loan and bought the 95 GSX I have now for $5,000 (stock). :)

And this all happen about 4 months ago.

Oh wait, did I include a cd player in it also? LOL. I mean, the car did run perfect. The kid gave me allllll CASH. Well, his dad did.
 
You can't expect to get much to any return on the mods. It's like they don't exist in finding the price. Unless someone has a car thats truely badass. Your only hope is to find a clueless ricer and sell it for 6-7K. Or sell parts and put it back to stock and sell it for 4.5-5K.

I'm gonna have to call BS here. N/T DSMs with 100k+ miles are worth nothing, especially the 95-96, they are sh1t, and I should know. That car was worth about 3000 or a little more, no way you got him into the double digit thousands, no freaking way, especially when you get 97-99 Turbo for under 10k, they aren't THAT rare.
 
hahahaha yea i agree. theres no way in hell someone bought that for 10-5, that's nuts. blue book would prolly have ur car for just under or around 4k
 
I found a 90 red gsx 5spd at a local junkyard, this is the deal---
When I first looked at it they said it was a running car and it needed some tranny work, I asked to see it run, they forklifted it down off some other car and I noticed some ass stole the computer out of it, so it would not start but did crank. He wanted $1,000 for it then. The body is in pretty good condition, few dings, all orig motor, etc never moded. Now 6 months I was looking for parts for my mustang and noticed he still has the car. So I asked again about it and he said he has the title and will sell it now for $750. Thinking of offering $600.
What do some of you think its worth??
I am not a newbie to dsms but havent had one in a while and was wondering if it was worth picking this one up?
I know someone else with one for $500 90 talon awd all orig but
kid beat it up and blew almost the whole drivetrain, really don't want to start w/a running motor.
Anyone think I should pick it up, back when i had my talon awd (1996)
it would cost an arm and a leg to get any work done and some did not want to touch it, but now they are more dsm shops than ever.
Would like to get back in them, fastest imports around.
 
depends on if you can find a ecu that isnt leaking, and if u can get someone to replcae the caps at a reasonable price
