Well say I find a nice GS-T, nice price should I pull the trigger or let it slip away and hold out for the GSX with the chance I may settle for a GSX that I would be better off going with the GS-T. I am still worried about C-walk and people have been dicks about giving me info on it or putting my mind at ease, they feel being a wise a$$ and saying, well, " he will learn on his own " is going to help me !?!?! I want to know the best thing to do to prevent it and also have a strong engine for mods, so I thought of doing a 6 bolt block swap to kill my chances of C-Walk, and then have the 6 bolt in case I want to go above Stage 1 mods. I hear the 7 bolt is about as durable with mods or a bigger turbo as a tin foil shack in a tornado.

It sounds to me like you really want a GSX. Don't settle for anything less. You will be dissapointed if you don't go with what you truly want. I'm not saying that a GST isn't good, but if it isn't what you truly want then it is worth waiting for the right car.

cw seem to be a hit and miss occurance. A 7 bolt is more likely to suffer from cw than a 6 bolt but not all 7 bolts end up with cw. If you check other cars on here, there are some 2g's with the 7 bolt that are really respectable with tons of mods and dont have cw. This is one of those situation where you cant predict it but you cant prevent it either. If you do get one, Stay away from the heavier clutches that put excess pressure on the rear of the crank(act 2600 for ex)

listen, the faster car would be the gsx..and swap a 6bolt in and you wont have to worry about crankwalk. stop asking about a gs-t unless you want fwd for whatever reason you think fwd is better. go with the gsx.

What the hell is all of this talk about CW?

crankwalk will become a problem down the road in a 2g no doubt,

I have a GS-T and bought it cause it was MINT. 97 with 35,000 miles for little over 9k.

I have plans to go with a conversion down the road. I am half way done. The place only charges 1,500 for a conversion. I paid this car outright. NO lean or anything crazy.

If you are looking for a track car and are parinoid about get the GSX. You can get a great launch with the instillation of a "TRUE" LSD (differental, not insert).

Good luck!

okay im looking at a 97 gs-t spyder.

red with tan interior. bone stock. 95k miles.

there have a 12000 sticker slapped on it. way over priced in my opinion. what do you think its worth?

(btw...i was going to post this in the newbie forum because its a ### question but they wont let me for some reason.)

Once the RS-T is rebuild (new pistons and rods) what do you feel she is worth? I want to sell her and maybe drop all the $ into my 93 TSI (AWD)

Info and Mods: http://www.cardomain.com/id/wd_c3_rst

I will include a brand new Aero Dora BOdy kit, but may take the SAFC and EGT gauge for my 1G.

New Rebuild, Clutch has like 2miles on it (literally) Honest Oppinions on what you think it will sell for please?

There are a lot of riceboys in tri-cities, You should be able to rip one of them off nicely ;)

Have we met? My names Walker and your?

Add me on AIM: wdc3RS-T

How is my car rice? It's all good I may be sinking all the $ into my 93 TSI.. try calling that rice :) (in my gallery)

Its not like it has been raced, the clutch has like a mile on it maybe and the rebuild will be brand new (not even done yet) I havent driven her in 4months (aside from a couple minutes when she blew) Yeah its too modded for me- wanted to do something different but lit looks like I lost a lot of $. I'm ready to move on to new projects.

I don't have insurence on her now, I took it off when I got the TSI... she's been down 4months anyway.

People get RIPPED on cars here so im going to be crazy and put her up for 10k... when in reality I'll take around 8k

If your car runs 13s or lower I would give you 5500, if it's above that I wouldn't buy it.

id say about 5000-6000 it also depends on how many miles it has. i defanitly wouldnt buy it for 8000. but hey im sure someone might. good luck

I'll talk to you on AIM if I see you online :)

Oh no, your car is not rice. Not at all. I was just saying theres lots of rich kids who will hop on a car because it is "turbo" in the tri-cities OMG Good luck selling her.

We should meet sometime. I have the weekends off always, I'd love to see the rs-t and the new talon :)

So did you figure out how much you were gonna sell it for? If you were a lil closer to AZ, i would take a look!!

i say between $5,000 - $7,000. Thats my opinion.

Shoot, 2 years ago, I sold my 95 GS N/T with 105,000 miles for $10,500 to a kid :thumb:

In a couple of years you are going to look back and realize what an idiot you were. Trust me, sell the 1g and finish off the 2g since you already have so much money into it. You think its a good hobby and fun now, but when you are done and a little older i guarantee you will look back and think "man i like this car, but boy did i waste ALOT of my money".

I'm ready to start a enw project. I sank enough into it... 300hp sucks on FWD anyway.

I see stock RS Eclipsed go for 8, 9, 10k here so I wont take less then 8... im confident.

I can get another 2G at some point... right now I want to move out and dont need 2 money pits

I know what your talking about with the money pits. I have 2 cars, and it is like having to goddamn kids to take care of :thumbdown I should be getting a call back from this lady who is buying my extra car though. I can't wait to get rid of it. (more money for the dsm  )

So what's next for you, Infamous Eclipse?

You surely won't spend 8k in mods on your other car, will you?

I think at this point he's looking back and realizing what a mistake it was to waste so much money turboing a nonturbo car. Be it 1g or 2g, factory turbo is a much better starting point if you're going for any kind of power. It's also cheaper in the long run.

In a couple years he'll look back and see that this is the wiser decision. Hell, in the couple *weeks* after dumping the money from the sale of the RS-T into mods for the TSi he'll realize which car is better for modding.
