I say go for it. It's a very good start with those mods already on it. Plus, you pretty much know the car already.

Wow must be nice.. I cant even find a slightly modified/bone stock Talon in my area without having to pay like 3500 for it. And thats when the damn car has like 150k miles on the engine /tranny with no rebuilds.

Hey guys, I am completely new to the DSM world and previously owned an Acura Integra LS. I just got out of the Army and figured it was time to purchase a new car and I always wanted a Talon TSI AWD. I found one in my local area for 7,500 dollars and I'm very willing to pay that. The guy I am planning to buy it from said the car is capable at this very moment to run over 400 hp to the wheels with the current set up. I want to show the complete list of mods and if any of the seasoned veterans could give me any insight then I would great appreciate it. I am very happy to be apart of the forums!

Looks like a pretty average build. Nothing out of the ordinary. If you get it i would look into getting a fmic. He doesnt have one and you will when start to push the 18g to the 400hp mark.

thank you both for such quick replies. I forgot to mention that the new engine only has 300 miles and all of those parts listed have between 100-8,000 miles. The body itself has 83,000 miles on it. What would you typically expect to pay for that?

If it drives well and you're happy with it, get it. The body has good miles and the engine is freshly built too. I'm also coming from an LS. You'll be smiling from ear to ear every time you drive the Talon.

i just recently found a 2genB eclipse in a inpound lot. i called the guy who owns the lot. he says he has the title. he thinks the motor is blown. he says it has some aftermarket parts. i have only seen it from about 50 or so feet. from that distance i seen that it has aftermarket wheels not sure but i think there 18's the one tire is flat, dont know if the tread on the tires is good or not. the body looks like its in good shape. im not to sure if its a 4g63 or a 420a. it has a turbo style wing on. the guys says it has air bags on it. i also seen that it has a aftermarket exhaust and again not sure if its a full exhaust or just a tip. ill update some more when i find out more about the car. let me know what you think this car is worth.

Hey, I am in the market for a 2g gsx shell (5 speed preferably) and came across this guy about 3 hours from me selling a tsi awd auto shell.....here are some pictures and info. There are a few things wrong such as windshield cracked, 2 dents in rear left quarterpanel(do you think they could easily be poped out?) and some minor scratches. Anyways he is askin 1500 and I was gonna try and see if I could get it for cheaper if I can talk him down....I was just wondering what you guys think about it and how much you think it would be worth?

Power everything

Black interior

The car is in pretty good shape. No rust, 1 Small dent, vary little scratches. It has a crankwalked block and good tranny. No head, turbo ext. This Was my project car but I think I am going to sell her to make room for a new ride... Also carbon fiber hood is cracked/split and needs to be replaced unless you think you can fix it.

Car is located in Pekin IL

I will put updated pics up tomorrow...

Price is $1500 or obo

If you want a 5 speed hold out until you can get your hands on one, it will be worth it if thats what you want in the long run.

1500 sounds really steep.. but then again i've only purchased 1g shells. I can get a 1g shell easy with everything for 700, try to get it down to 1k at least i say.

Ya, I would end up dropping my new 6bolt in there and pretty much making it a full race car but still street driven. If I got this one I would change from auto to manual conversion...I already have a 5speed gsx so I know how much fun it is LOL. If I could talk him down to ~700-800 I think I am going to get it....maby if I tell him he can keep the block and the CF hook he will go down more....lets see what some other people think though.

Auto to manual conversion sounds fun and time consuming :p . Those dents look like they could be pulled out at least somewhat.

My vote is hold out for a 5spd tho :thumb:

looks like junk to me! It's a auto, the hood is trash, the motor is done for and missing about every piece. I wouldn't pay more then 500 bucks for that! Does he have the seats? and is that a oil cooler sticking out of the bumper? LOL
