well the car has about 5000 $ in preformance, appeal and handling/cornering upgrades. it is 1995 tsi awd turbo with 245 k on it. for 4000 $ in your opinion would it be worth it ? how long do those engines last when you dont pound the shit out of them, and with regular maintenece ?would it have been driven the shit out of with all those preformance parts ?? can someone please answer this with their opinion i have 2 days to descide. thank you for your time

so you are saying that the engine internals are bone stock with 245k on a clock..i think thats way too much money. what good are the $5000 in upgrade if the engine could give up anyday, then you gona have to spend a couple more grand to get it fixed. this offer seems :notgood:

+1 on keep looking, my dad wasnt looking and he found a 95 TSI with 39k miles, it sat for a few years and had no head, but he paid $1000 for it in excellent shape.:laser:

yeah so i think my link no longer works so here it is again...
cars.com: 1997 Mitsubishi Eclipse GSX Turbo AWD
I never even noticed those blinkers :O, i dont know about the kms on the rebuild or anything about the rebuild, i still think that is quite cheap, But ontario is kinda 12 hours ishh away and i dont have my g2 so getting there to see it and taking it home could be a hassle, he doesnt have stock heads and tails:( ...haha and i d say them rims would be next to go:p

EDIT: i dont know the problem if its my comp or not but if that doesnt work try this:

Also anyone got anything esle you think i should ask?then i ll ask about rebuil kms too

Hey im new to dsm's and I have a friend whos brother has a 1990 eclipse gsx with 101k original miles on the clock. The car has JIC flt-a2 coilovers, greddy type s blow off valve, custom front mount intercooler using an evo 9 core, a 255 fuel pump, apexi SAFC-2 blue screen, koyo radiator and an evo 3 16 g turbo. He is asking 2500 for the whole car. The body has only one small dent in the drivers door and has absolutely no rust. Is the car worth the price or is it a little high, but from what I can see its a good deal but I wanted to ask you guys first being that I am a newb.

Remeber, this car is 18 years old now. The motor has seen alot.
I would compression test it before buying. I know it is hard to find an un-molested DSM these days, but keep this in mind:
Just like you and I, people mod DSMs to race them, and use those mods. Therefore, the car has been abused.
Ask when the last time the Tbelt has been changed as well.
Go from there with price.

The car does not smoke at all. The car runs very strong, I know this because i've ridden in it when i helped put on the evo3 16g, and the greddy type s is recirculated. Right now the car has the stock 14b on it because the evo 3 was getting ported and he uses the car daily. The engine oil has been changed with mobil1 for the last 6 or so oil changes but the evo 3 is goin back on before purchase. I will try to get a compression test done soon but its hard because im still in highschool and have to stay after for lacrosse practice everyday so i will post up what i can tomorrow hopefully.

Sounds very reasonable to me.....so reasonable that I'd say to make sure everything is running as close to perfect as possible. At least here in Miami, FL, dsm's are going around that much if not more and they are stock RS or GS models. It's truly gruesome! Anyways, if after the compression check everything turns out well, then I'd say go for it. Take it and run! :thumb:

I'd buy it. I mean you could dang near get your money back in parts if it blew up. I would do a compression test on it first though. Check the tbelt as well. Even if he said that he changed it...I still go with a new tbelt/water pump. Also run a carfax on it....wouldn't hurt.

non recirculating bov with no kind of translator or gm maf.
i say no just becuase of that.
what the hell are you talking about?

don't listen to that guy, buy the car and buy it now! Thats a screaming deal I wouldn't think twice...the parts are worth close to that considering its a REAL Evo big 16g. Especially if he is paying for the port! You could rebuild it for what you would be saving. Maybe the price is different over there, but I live in the Mid west and I could get 5k for that car today if I had it.

BUY IT AND POST PICS!!!
