Brother has set aside around 300 bucks for a birthday present for me what should I get?d
So far my list of parts waiting to go on:
FMIC
680CC injectors
SAFCII
Sportline Sprints +tokico Shocks
B16G Turbo
FP Race manifold

I am thinking Wide band, or Walbro 190 FP?
I am leaning towards the wideband and pick up the fuel pump my self?

Any thing else I should look into?
:D

I would deffinately get a fuel pump. And the wideband wouldn't be a bad idea either. You can find both for $300.

Wideband and fuel pump sound like a perfect companion to your list:thumb:

Wideband, logger and then fuel pump.

You can get a AEM WB from ebay for 225. That leaves 75 for the logger. In my opinion, a logger is way more important than having a fuel pump right now.

Just rewire your stock pump for now till you can get one. Its better to know what your engine's vitals are at.

Oh forgot to add I got a logger sitting on my Desk, as well as the Evoscan software (just need a 97-99 Ecu.. but since i have a palm, no rush for that)

Stock pump is also rewired already..

Wideband is next then bro!

Wally 190

But if you want a 255, you are going to need an AFPR or you will get shitty gas mileage. I don't know how bad it effects 2g's because of the higher fuel pressure.

But on my 1g, I got shittyyyyyy mileage. Got an Aeromotive AFPR and boom. Gas was better and I felt hella better response overall

Ok thanks.
I will get the Wideband through him and just buy the fuel pump with my own money :)
Going with the 190 because I think it will be fine for my goal, not look for high horse power just a quick daily driver to have fun at the track :D

Well mod's first 16G Turbo, Portfueler, 450 Injector's, and a cold air intake

Right now I do want to get a pocketlogger and the software that come's with it
so what else would be a good investment????.

Also my car is a 420a 98 talon

Yea pocket loggers work on 420a's, they work on prety much any OBDII car, And since any car made after '96 is OBDII..... You get the point.... I say go 20g, front mount :thumb:

i stand corrected...good thing a 420a guy got here to help out...

16g, with all supporting mods should be plenty fun for a 420a engine...

i know a couple guys who have had to build there 420a to hold a bigger turbo setup...

EDIT: haha i type to slow...

Eh i say go 20g for the price difference, It flows more and if you ever decide to go all out it will last longer....

I'am gonna get the logger first I atleast wanna see what's going on with my car, then I'll upgrade to a 20g I'am currently at 8psi, well thnx for the help I'am off to work.

Can you people ####ing read? He said he's already got a 16g. He obviously hasn't built his engine yet. He wants to know what supporting mods would be good. So far I only see one post that has any kind of decent advice.

You need some kind of logging and tuning solution (I assume you can tune with Portfueler?). Also, as mentioned previously, if you don't have an exhaust, you should get one (from the turbo back). Then maybe start looking into cams for the 420A, although I think you'd spend your money better by building the bottom end and turning the boost up.
