:confused:damn ive had my job and still cant spend money on my car:cry: Take a look at my thread that I just put up here in the newbie section about the transistor and see if you can answer my question please..:thumb:

Well forget the parts, no point in buying stuff if you have no income get a job. Your gonna buy parts keep them for a month then sell them cause you spent all your money on parts and got no money for food or bills.

Lol.. k.
That's how I've felt.. All my paycheck went to bills! Sucks.. but selling a car is like winning the lottery! Even if it's a small amount, it feels like free money.. LOL

I'm going to school full time, that's why I quit. I have school paid off, and if I do well, my mom wanted to help me with like my phone bill and gas.

Kitty, I know you were looking into having the CF headlight covers made, and they were around $200 or so. IMO, you should search around on ebay, and find someone who does CF wrapping. Get in contact with them, and see if they would wrap your stock headlight housings(or whatever they are called). It should be much cheaper than $200 because of the size, and ease(because they are basically ~6"x6" squares that would be wrapped). Just a suggestion.

my vote is to lighten it up. carbon fiber. if you really want to get serious FAL makes lexan windows. that would shed a few lbs.

I thought about that as well.. just someone had mentioned that cf varies due to weave and whatever else between companies. So if one place does overlays with the headlights and another does the hood, it would have dif appearance?

Oh, and I already have some sway bars.. Staying away from nitrous and meth, stuff like that. Just going to be running straight E85.

I most likely will do quite a bit of lightening up.. just it will be my weekend car, so nothing serious! I have the silver Talon for that :D..

Like I said, the main reason I was thinking the CF for now is the hood looks awful from oxidization!! I would like to wrap the wing and mirror w. CF as well, think that would give it a cool look!

Definatly 950CC or bigger for E85!

Yeah, there are a few different kind of weaves, but whoever you are getting your hood from can tell you what weave was used. Then you can just ask them to use that on the headlights/mirrors/wing. There is a possibility that there might be a very small difference, but it wont be noticeable unless you are looking at it really close. And I was thinking about having my wing wrapped as well, I have a CF hatch and am undecided if I want to go wingless or keep the wing, and if I keep it, go CF or not.

Always heard good things about Frank's, but I haven't dealt with them. I also reccommend GTFabrications, they make great stuff, I got the CF hatch from them right when it came out, great quality.

As far as cam gears go, I think the old school HKS ones are awesome, but you said you wanted some black ones, so I would say get the Crower ones if you can actually find a set. The only other ones that I have seen in black are these Skunk2 ones:

eBay Motors: Skunk2 Eclipse 95-99 dohc 2.0L Cam Gears Turbo 4g63bt s (item 230225435374 end time Feb-28-08 19:43:27 PST)

I didn't really search around on them, but I bet you could probably find some people who have ran them.

I thought they had stopped making skunk2.. well at least for dsms?

With the CF, it scares me since the last hood I had yellowed so bad. The clear on it and just the quality sucked!

I think they might have, but the stuff on ebay is probably leftover stock. And if you are that worried about the CF, whatever hood you get, just take it somewhere and have it professionally cleared, and you should have nothing to worry about.

True :)
Sorry, I've just had quite a few bad experiences :p
But I'm going to check out some pricing. I found one company that was decently priced, but they had some pretty bad fisheyes.

Maybe have your Throttle Body bored out?

That's not worth the money. A mustang throttle body would be better. For that she will need a different intak like I mentioned though. So, intake would be first and of course she would have to get it flanged for whatever throttle body she wanted.
