You can only raise pressure with the B&M, and you can raise or lower with the Aeromotive. Do not buy the B&M.

Also, just wondering what you plan on running with those 880's?

if you end up getting those 880's you better plan on having a dsm link or aem stand alone to run those. afc wont work.... you can only take out up to 50% fuel with it.

I suggest you get fuel management and logging tools and any gauges you need first. those typically are the most boring things to wait for and buy so i would get those outta the way.

sorry forgot to mention i already have dsmlink, btw im an overkill kind of guy ;) http://members.cardomain.com/uncwdragonfire thats my car.

I was going to suggest the same thing that 98autogstspyder did above after I reviewed your profile. But I waited a few minutes and then saw your reply.

I do think that if you go with the 255lph that an AFPR is a good decision, especially if the pump is the HP version.

Also, if the eBay injectors you mentioned are the PTE/Delphi ones, they're pretty good. I have those 780s and have been happy with them for about six months now.

Now, get to work on that vehicle profile. :D

I'm ahead of ya, got it updated, and my 1/4th and 1/8th mile times written up.

So you think the aeromotive IS required then? How hard is it to install the aeromotive? Would I have to buy other stuff to install it? Like SS lines, AN Fittings, and all that crap I see in the VFaq write ups? or is this a simple 30min or less bolt up install?

I'd say it's pretty nice to have. Nothing is "required," but it will make everything a lot easier. Can't help on the install, as I've never owned one.

And again, I'd suggest less than 880's for a 50-trim, but you seem to be pretty set on them, so I'll just wish you good luck :thumb:

Hello? Anybody there?

Is it okay to get the injectors and pump and wait on the afpr for a while and my car run fine, just maybe burn a lil bit of extra gas at idle, and just adjust my dsmlink for those fuel trims??

You can do it. I know people who have went mid 12's at 113 with a 16g, 550's, HP 255 and no regulator. It can be done and driven, it just usually isn't preferred.

Well I can understand where he's coming from; with DSMLink you can control biggie injectors like stock with no drawbacks and the 880s are likely the same price as the smaller ones.

And yes, installing the Aeromotive AFPR will require AN fittings, hoses, and crap.

OK ive got around 2500 to spend on my 6bolt. I dont know if i should go 2.0 or 2.3. Im looking at the jackson auto machine 2.3 kit amd ill assemble it myself. Or ill just go with a 2.0 and spend the extra cash getting parts together for my manual swap. i dont know what to do. Parts i already have: rebuilt head, new timing parts, waterpump, frontcase/oil pump, 6bolt block w/o balance shafts, jdm tranny. Parts i need to get the car running as a 6bolt manual: ecu, hydraulics, pedals, shift cables, engine harness, 2600clutch. I have to do this now, so im going to do it right and get the built engine ahead of time. So should i go with eagle/wiseco 2.0 all ready to go, or the JAM 2.3 kit, get it machined and take a whack at assembling myself.

2.3L OWNERS! speak up please, is it really worth the extra cash??

if i had 2500 to spend.....

i would get
crower rods-600
ross pistons-400
bore the block .20------all done by a mchine shop unless you can do it yourself.

get some injectors, fuel pressure regulator, in tank fuel pump, clutch and lightened flywheel, FMIC and a evo3 16g turbo........have fun

stay tuned - i really doubt u could get all those parts for 2500 bucks, and i need a manual swap before anything else..i HATE automatics

dave- yeah i figured it would be atleast that... i can get eagle wiseco for around 800 still need a HG, and then machining and assembly another 800-1200 im sure right? What where u charged out of curiousity?

I got 9:1 weisco coated pistons for $350 (Buschur), eagle rods for $320 (slowboy), and hottank/bore .020''/hone for $350 (buschur). I could have had the machining done for around $100 here locally and saved some money, but I didn't shop around for that first.

trying to avoid bench racing here, but Dave 99Gst, I have around that much money I'm looking to spend in an engine too. What type of quarter mile times to you get? And how is all that horsepower with a FWD?
