I'd pick up either an S13 or S14 240sx and either swap in a sr20 or an rb25

They'll run you a little more than what you are looking to spend, but if you are on a budget you can aways turbo the stock ka 2.4 and have almost perfect 50/50 weight distro as well as a nicely setup drifting machine

Pick up a 89-94 Geo Metro for say 200-500. Buy a Suzuki Swift GTi engine, G13B an all the things you need to swap, wiring harness an such for say another 500. Then spend the rest on a turbo kit. Have a fast , reliable 13-14 second car for under 2500.

Jeeze, I suppose having HKS everything around a PTE turbo, still makes it look like a "PTE setup"! ::

But yeah, this turbo kicks ass! Spools like a 50 trim (35-3800), but throws airflow out like a FP RED!

This is a 55lb/min turbo, thats a weee bit over 500WHP if you can tune it correctly.

GET ONE!!!

This isn't any reviews yet but the HX-35 with the bullyseye thurbine housing is a killer looking combo... I've already got my HX-35 on it's way along with a H1C turbo as well... I'm going to try the 2 out and see which is the best bang for the buck...

hks parts like what???? Its not like pte set-ups use a pte manifold or anything else around the turbo. The statement just doesnt make any sense to me. i hope you dont consider an hks filter a unique item.

I have 500 to spend right now and im wondering what i should do. I was kinda looking into getting a new turbo like 14B ,but could i just add that to my car without other mods? my goal is 13 sec range. Id be happy with 13.5. Give me your suggestions.

How about an exhaust?

That would be the most practical, considering it is your biggest restriction as of now.

I agree with exhaust...

If your mods list are correct, that would be your next best bet. A full 2.5 in system should be found for under $500 if you shop around. With any money left over, I'd get a 1G BOV and turn the boost up a little (15psi).

You'll feel the gains and that should hold you over until more money comes in for your 14B project.

Forget the exhaust.

Get a 14b, upic, 1g bov, 190 pump, and a boost controller. You'll be destroying any 2g with an exhaust and upped psi.

cat back.....hands down. i've seen the N1 cat back somewhere for 495$ plus shipping and handling....shop around.

if your not impressed by mandrel bent pipes.....you can have a full cat back built at a muffler shop for less than $400......quality may not be the best though.
