when i go past half throttle my car bogs down and starts shakin real bad.....new plugs,new wires ......what is it??

are you throwing a CEL? could be a number of things.

If your CEL starts flashing, it's an active misfire (severe I would say).

Make sure there is no water or oil down in the spark plug wells.
Cheapest and most common cure for this problem is a set of new NGKs and some $35 Bosch OEM plug wires from Autozone. The wires have a lifetime warranty, so if it happens again someday, you can get a free set.

If this doesn't fix the problem, you'll need to do some more research. There's a couple of really long threads full of ideas on this at 2GNT.com

it doesnt mean its severe if its flashing. i got the flashing one after i did a compression test and accidently crushed a spark plug head. you could hear the engine didnt sound quite right, and it seemed to be shaking a little more then usual, but it wasnt that bad. but it set off the flashing cel.

could be the sensor that goes on the throttle control , not sure what is called

My EGR valve was faulty causing sputtering and shaking similar to what you are experiencing. I did the EGR block-off mod and no more sputtering etc. It was just kinda dumb luck that I found the cause.

had similar incident but mine turned out to be the coil pack :thumbdown , so depending how old your coil pack is that could be it too.

I am having this same problem but I just drove my car an hour and a half away from me to put it in storage and I the way there is when it started, it seemed to get worse when I pushed the throttle more but I had no time to diagnose it and when i got to the garage I was storing it in I was in a hurry so I only had enough time to check if my plug wires were lose and to a quick look under the hood. I hope you find out what it is so i know what things I should look for in the spring when I take it back out of storage.

The problem I am havine with mine is from time to time I get a pop from the exhaust. Haven't been able to figure that one out. Only happens maybe once or twice a week.
