Ok sorry this has nothing to do with tuning but while driving around today i thought of somtin thats quite common around here, and was wondering if it was just here or everywhere. But while sitting at a stop light or stop sign or just driving etc. Do people who think that they have hot cars, while passing you see you then floor it past you to make them self sound bad ass?? Cuz around here forget it you cant go a day with out some one doin it. And oddly enough, or maybe now that i think of it, its not odd it fits them well , but the only ones that do it.... are honda owners. Theres plenty of other dsm'ers around here and not a one does it, and ive seen some sweet dsm's and they dont do it, we just glance at one another look at each others car and keep goin. But every single honda owner does it and the sad thing about my area is, they all drive garbage civics and crx's. Which the only thing they do is put on an exhaust and rims and huge ugly aluminum wings and think they got race cars . Is there anyone else that shares this problem if im the only one here, maybe i need to move to get away from the honda epidemic or somtin.

I have the same problem here in Richmond Va. I was pleasently surprised to have a 92-95 civic pull up beside me and let me hear his blow off valve last week but I still showed him what a fast car was. I left him by 3 cars off the launch and steadily pulled him from there. About 10 cars from one stoplight to another. He got behind me afterwards.

it doen't happen too often around here, but when it does i swear it's because they can't drive. It always seems to happen when people don't completly stop at a light because it turns green, and they miss a shift, or rev it up too high. I just laugh at them and disreguard it. Street racing isn't too popular around here either simply because the cops around here swarm all the places that you can race, and it's a mighty hefty ticket, not to mention all the bystanders/other cars watching/racing get tickets too.

I dunno I get head turns but no revs really, most likely cuz my car is stock and i've only been driving it for a like a week and a bit.

I was cruising next to a heavily modded 1g a few days ago and he let me hear is bov i was like ya i want a ####in turbo!!

You know whats even better? When the dude revs at you and hes got nothing to show but a stock engine. Some idiot in a honda down hear does it all the time. All you can hear is his 5 inch tip trying to get loose.

ive never seen a mustang or bmw or anyone else for that matter do the drive by, has always been hondas i wouldnt mind a mustang, some of them stock actualy sound pretty nice with the muscle car rumble. but a POS honda wit nuttin needs to keep his muffler shut .

dsmers around here just look at each and their cars. hondas umm they r ### but not alot race they just have mufflers some new civic ex tho with a turbo pulled up i didnt bother racing him 1 cuz it was wet and 2 i didnt wann get beat by a civc me and my friend rev at each other if we are goin opposite ways to say hi.

Every day when i am at football practice there are people with loud ass cars that rev the hell out of it whenever they go by. Last year there was this guy with a crotch rocket that would rev and hit a limiter or something and just let it rebound.

haha YES! me and my friends always say hi that way. or, my friend is a life guard, so when i drive by the pool i rev my ass off to him. he'll always call me on a break and say "i heard you!" not trying to show off, just saying hi :laugh: .

does anyone else hate the sound of a revving stock engine... with no exaust or anything. it just sounds soo... weak. my favorite tho was this civic that had the usually stock civic parts, big combat wing, altezzas, loud exaust, big tach with shift light! :laugh: well he revved at me at a light, and then peeled out, i didnt peel i just went hard. well were even and at 4k rpm's in first, i here him shift again and peel out haha it was a joke from there. my weak ass first pulled like no other, and by the time i hit my strong second i had 4 cars on him, by the end i had to have had 15. it was a proud moment, who doesnt love cooking rice

i fell victim to one tongiht. this gaywad with a civic and exaust and intake was trying to fly up on me, i downshifted when he was 4 cars behind me, and he got to about 2 cars behind me untill i owned him and got about 8 on him. i cut out cuz i was raping him up the ass... and 5 seconds later this loud buzzing civic comes flying by... i just had to shake my head at that... this kid is soooo ghay i hate him, and he pullls shit like that... uhhh man

So i started this thread to see if i was alone and well i can see im not, but tonight was a night to remember, first, and this was a true first..... 2 true firsts . the firsT is, im sitting at a light and some dude in a pick up truck turns the corner sees me sittin there, and womps on the pedal right as he passes my window, i just laffed and was like well thats different. Then the other, as im gettin off work, my cars out front, im walkin to it and theres a dude in a porsche parked like 2 cars behind, and as i get near my car, he starts reving the engine to sound cool, so im like yeah whatever u got a sweet car dont be a D*CK then as hes passing me, he gives it some gas, and since his car is so low.... there was an arizona bottle on the ground that got caught up under his car and was smaking and bumpin on everything, and it was so loud everyone turned to look and laff. :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: :laugh: Man i needed that laff for sure tonight hahahahahahahahaha.. This happened to me yesterday for the first time. Probably because I just got my exhaust on I guess. But what makes this really bad is, I was in the left turning lane waiting for the green light and a prelude drives past me and revs his engine a couple times then keeps driving. I was like okay wtf, I'll race you while I'm turning left and your going straight?

Well, because I have chosen to do a few decals (for 30-40 gain in horsepower) there are tons of kids out there that assume I did that because I have a car faster than a F-16 or something, when in reality, I wanted to change the look of my car and couldn't affford a paint job and decals were a subtle enough change. Granted, my ride is pretty damn fast, but damn.

Anyway, yeah, they do it all the damn time. In a small town like I live in, 9 times out of 10, I have handed their ass to them. The others in town (A supra, rx7, and other serious cars including DSMs) know what's up and don't make asses of themselves. Sooner or later Natural Selection will take over.

Man, now I'm getting pissed just thinking about it.

I had about 15 cars rev at me or act stupid tonight. It makes me hesitant to wash and wax my car again. I was on my cell phone and some ass clown in a Trans Am kept dropping and revving. I'm on my freakin phone. DAMN! Then a civic with the worst fitting, unpainted kit got on my bumper and tried to swerve over and fly by. I lit him up. I'm sick of seeing windshield washer LEDs under my big ass wing.
