Hey everyone so I just installed my new 4-1 headers. Car starts and runs smoother than ever but the only thing is my stock tempature gauge wont work now it just stays dead. I slammed the hood cause i was pissed it wasn't working got in and it was working. Then I got out for literally 5 seconds then it's dead again. That only happened once though. Any suggestions please!!?? :banghead:

yea, when you slammed your hood you might have disconnected your coolant sensor.. its found right under your thermostat. think there are two sensors but the one for the guage is the lowest. i hit a nice pothole and mine came undone..

Most likely you did something to your temperature sending unit. this is located on your your thermostat housing on a 420a. there are two units there one goes to your ECU and the other goes to your gauge panel if you wiggle it it should work again. Most likely you need a new one about a 10 minute job and the sell them at most parts stores for around 20 bucks.

Here is a pic.

Temp gauge is below the CLT sensor and slightly to the left on the waterneck/thermostat housing. It will be a single wire with a crimp connector. Ensure that the wire is connected and the terminal is free of corrosion. If it's loose when you put it back on just crimp it a bit with a pair of pliers so it clamps down.

Here's a pic for reference. It's a bit tough to see it in this one, but this will get you in the right area.
