hi everyone I'm having this annoying problem when I turn the switch on all the gauges are well but the temp gauge goes all up even when i start the car it stays up i checked the coolant temp sensor using the scanner and the engine temp is ok around 70 and 80 C so i would like to know if anyone had this problem before. thanks for the help

I would just order a new cts online. I haven't heard your problem really. Even tho the scanner doesn't have a code it can still be bad. A cts is about 25 bucks so I would try that first. Good luck.

thanks jayson427 but i assume that the CTS is working fine because is giving signal to the ecu. i am thinking about the coolant temp gauge unit that is under the CTS it has only one wire , my biggest fear is that maybe that cable is on short

Not sure if you have junk yards down there but if you need any parts for cheap if you can't find them look up Miller import parts.com all he has are dsms. And you might be right about the signal wire to the gauge. Have you tried to take it out and clean it? Also run a volt meter down that wire and see if it drops voltage.

jayson427 thanks for your advise i changed the CTGS and now works great
