So over the last few weeks I started tearing into my 97. I've got the wiring harness all out, gotta love how you can just flop it across the passenger fender. Got everything undone cept for the axles. Axle nuts are froze so they've been hit with some rust penetrant every day for the last few days.
I've got a pretty good idea of what i need to replace and what i'd like to upgrade while i'm doing this.
Replacement stuff:
Fel pro gasket set
Both axles
Rad cap
Trunk Carpet
Hatch shocks
Turbo
Front motor mount
re-cover Head liner
pull & clean Carpet
ACL race bearings
Replace worn "drop-zone" coilover/shock with OEM shock/spring
new bov
Upgrade:
O2 housing
3" exhaust
Stainless steel brake lines
AWD front calipers
ARP head studs, rod bolts
Cometic Gasket
Competition clutch, stage 2
Motor mount inserts
... Thats about all i can think of right now. OH, maybe a cheap-o paint job if i've still got enough left over.
I think eventually i might run a MAFT on a blow through, But i'll just have to see where my funds are after i get the essentials done
