Teal Talon....Repaint black?Or Teal again?

Ok, so I am going to paint the Talon over the winter, but am a little torn.
My car is TEAL.....all my friends call it Malibu Barbie's dream car. But i am ok with that. It doesnt look fast at all. The hood is a little faded and the spoiler. I have resisted my brothers advise to just paint the hood black, or buy a carbon fiber hood because i think it looks to ricey......Yet I am leaning to painting the enitire car black. Although the Teal is growing on me. When i bought the car I almost didnt get it just because the color. I see some others rocking the Teal, I thought i would just try to get some DSMers advice.........

I agree, but i wouldnt half a$$ it. I would paint everything black.

Around where I live I think there's maybe one and its awd but I'm not too sure. I have never gotten that close to it to see.

I've seen one teal one in person and it was wrecked and had black body peices. It was ###.

I've been in the DSM game for 12 years.

i live in a town of about 18,000 people. I know of 3 within 10 minutes. Mine is the only AWD here though. 1 is N/T the other FWD turbo laser the same color. I just thought it was a common color. I get confused for the N/T one all the time, which is bad, because the cops must like that guy.
I believe the color is actually called Tennessee blue metallic.

My old 92 Laser 1.8 was that same color. At first you hate it, but it grows on you in the end.

About your PD just have common sense and if you thought about it tinting your windows, Don't.

Here window tint is magnet for PD, they don't too much about lowering, little bit about fart cans.

Yeah i have actually seen that car ^^^ in columbus ohio before. Its VERY nice. Just wanted some opinions, and agree it does grow on you.

I feel you bro I want different wheels but its kinda hard to tell what will look good ### most of the wheel visualizers dont have this color in them I definitely want to keep the color though ive thought about paint but it really is a rare color for this car it stands out but its still kinda on the low. ive only seen like two other 1gs in teal and they were n/t.

Color changes, as said earlier, will turn out like trash unless you paint all in the jambs, under moldings, engine bay, ect. This sounds like just a bit more prep work, but it's a lot more work than you think. Getting a simple re-spray done can be disaster if the prep work is not done properly, let alone a complete color change. I'm really picky, but I would not do a color change unless I had the whole car stripped down, with nothing inside or out of it, just a bare shell.

Also, as everyone says, the Teal is unique. 1gs are getting hard to find as it is, and you find alot of red, white and black ones. Having a color option that wasn't made in huge numbers is a bonus.

I'd leave it teal. I love the teal with black wheels. My buddy has one. It's a rare color.

Mine has the gray and black color. I wouldn't have it any other way. But back in the it was the teal that caught my eye. And you have a Talon man, so that means you get to have it both ways. You can have the classic black and the teal that's grown on you. If I was you I'd go with the Talon color scheme. Or do what you want cause it's your car.
