I just had my intercooler piping redone, and it removed most all of the couplings. I also installed a 3" tb, and magnus smim at the same time.

Now there's a very loud whistle sound, and I can't tell where it's coming from. I sprayed brake cleaner all around my tb, intake manifold, the couplings and don't see any bubbles or feel any air coming out. It's really loud at idle, but I can't really tell if happens at higher than 3k rpms because of a stripped interior and exhaust.

I was told that it might be normal for because of the smim, but I thought I would ask.

Perhaps this is related to your other post (boost leak from your TB seals) which I have been helping you out with

Either that or someone has stolen your turbo, replace it with a blank and mounted a whistle in your tailpipe :tease:

On a serious note you may want to check all your vacuum hoses and double check for boost leaks. I had a similar issue at idle after replacing my PCV hose. Turns out that under full vacuum, the hose was collapsing causing what sounded like a tea kettle :barf:

Good luck!

I'm taking apart my tb tomarrow, but I don't think it's the seals anymore. I thought it was the block off plate on the bottom, but we'll see after I get another one made that's a little more sturdy.
