A whistle

Just wondering what would cause a whistling noise when i let off the throttle? It does it when i feather the gas at low rpms. I put a 1g bov on a few months ago could it be making the noise? When i pop the hood and listen it sounds like its coming from inside the K&N air filter or maybe the bov. Well hopefully some one can help Thanks in advance

Nope no MBC. Also it doesnt go "woo woo" its a whistle like sound and only does it when i feather the throttle i dont think it is a huge deal but it bugs me.

mine does the same thing, it happens right around 1k rpms when i let off the gas. im pretty sure it started when i put my greddy bov on. the lower nipple isnt connect to anything so that might be it. it doenst sound like any huge problem, just bugs me.

The Type-S is kinda infamouse for the post-release whistle you hear. Not really sure why it's such a common problem, but I tend to think its the design of the diaphram (makes the noise whether the lower nipple is connected or not in all cases I've seen). A have a few friends using the Type-S and they all have it. I had the Type-S for 6 months on my first DSM and I never had the problem. I guess its a hit or miss type of deal.

As for the 1G BOV, it does that as well if uncrushed, but you usually wont hear it if its still recirculated. You probably hear it because the recirc. point of entry on the 2G MAS is alot closer to the filter side.
