tap in tranny

well to start off hello my name is anthony i am new i have a 95 eclipse RS and i do rally with it even with it being fwd..


So i was pulling out of my driveway and the clutch engaged really weird and made a clunk sound and jerked[It didnt grind it kinda popped [made noise as well] and jerked like it was going to stall out].Now I have a tapping coming from my tranny. I'm guessing the tranng because it's only when I accelerate in gear I pulled over and looked under the hood, gave it some gas and nothing then as soon as I drive it starts again. It drives just fine and seems to have no problems it shifts smooth with no grinding just a constant tapping witch gets faster with acceleration, any ideas?

I've had a problem like this before and for me the noise was the synchro's for my 1st -2nd gear. Just happens with wear but in my case the previous owner destroyed them. And the clutch popping for me was the throw out bearing not engaging all the way. So what i had to do was replace the trans and when you do, you replace it all, trans, flywheel, clutch, and throwout bearing. For you, i would take a look at the brake fluid. Make sure you have enough because the same fluid is used for your trans. If the clutch feels a little too light you might have a bubble in your lines. Nothing major. From the bottom you can find the fitting in the middle by the sub frame. Always start with an easy fix.
