1g tranny in 2g car

I've got a 6bolt awd block with a 2g awd tranny in my 97 talon. The tranny went out on me a do can get a 1g awd tranny pretty cheap. I want to know if this will work and what all I need to make it work. I've only had this car for about a year and have only been able to drive it for maybe a total of three months due to an abundance of shade tree s@&$. I'm at the point where it's almost all fixed and I've all but run out of money, any and all help with this is greatly appreciated!

Search would help. No it wont work. 1g tranny has no mounting provisions. The internal gear ratios are different in97 up also.
