Resolved 1G - Knock or Tap in the motor

Hey guys,

Can anyone in the know identify this Knock/Tapping noise? I thought it was mild case of rod knock but I am not sure.

Thats just your lifters more than likely, does it go away after warming up?

Well, the belt jumped so it all gets rebuilt anyway. Cheers!

I know it’s old but to anyone coming behind me with this issue, it was a bad water pump. The bearing failed and was making the noise. After the new pump was on it sounded perfect.

It was a good motor but the kid I sold it to ran it hot and killed it later on
