Talon Tsi AWD Restoration (Part 2)

Well guys,

Today is day 1 of the body work

Here is what we got acomplished today, Im missing headlights and hood still (wich I ordered today) so i still have to square off everything when those get here

I still have a lot of body work to do, sanding, squaring and hammering is still needed

Im just testing the headlights and hood, I havent bolted them in, I just got the hood, so bare with me on the prep work......work will resume thursday, I will start squaring the front end, bumpers, headlights, and hood.....hopefully I can start spraying paint in two weeks.....more coming soon


Well, I couldnt paint the car at my house, so I called my friend up, and asked to borrow his booth, I finish painting the car last night, but wont post pics of the paint, until im done buffing

I will at least show the 1st coat of paint I sprayed, I will post the final pictures tomorrow, with the other coats of paint, and the clear coat

Well...paint is on....but not buffed yet.....im going to allow the clear to dry for another 3 days

The color will stay original.....black roof, white body

I only presented the side skirts/bumpers on with a couple clips and bolts just as a safety precausion to not break them if I had them laying around my garage.....the car didn't come with bumpers when I got it (check previous page)

The car was inspected before I presented the bumpers on the car....but they are coming off today since I'm going to prep the area underneath

As far as rust, this car is free of it

Lol you wanna come visit me for about 2 weeks, but really great work I wish I had the tools and the know how/drive to tackle the body work.

....I learned watching a friend of mine.....this monday Im taking it to my buddys shop and borrowing the paint booth and start spraying color, I changed color choice....going all Black!

hey man i have a ?,
what would i do if someone took a hammer to my quarter panel?
would i have to cut and weld?
it sucks bc its not bolt on, and ive played wit bondo, and have done cab corners b4 but thats bout it . .

I had those wheels on the 350z (before someone stole 2 of them)....and I loved it, the Invos were great through water, and had good grip around the corners....right now I have the Nittos NeoGens, and they suck!!.....once these go bad, im going back to the Invos
