Talon probably dead

It with a great deal of remorse that I must announce that my 93 Talon DL is probably dead. This past Wednesday evening, I had a close encounter of the semi (truck) type. The good news is that I am alive and well, completely unscathed, and walked away from it. Unfortunately, odds are very high that the damages to my Talon are fatal. I'm still waiting for the verdict from my insurance company, but...

I already have my eye on a 95 Eclipse (GS or RS) to replace her. Maybe I'll get lucky and be able to get the Eclipse.

get a gsx man, or a talon tsi dont matter, ive gota fwd ...n i regret the fact that i dont got awd :\. Sry bout ur talon man that must suck... but look on the bright side if u get a dsm with a 2.0 turbo or n/t your gona start off with 140hp insted of the 98 ....my 1.8L has 120 though

I have nothing against any model of either car. I was offered the Eclipse and just don't know the model. All I know for sure is that it is a DOHC non-turbo and the non-turbo models are the GS and RS.

We'll see what develops.

Well, it's official. My insurance company has totalled my Talon. She gave her life protecting me in my close encounter with that d**n semi. I believe I will be in market for another Talon or Eclipse.

'til then, enjoy your DSM. It only takes a split second for something to occur. I thank God that I was able to walk away from this.

I had almost the exact same thing happen back in 2001 - totalled a '92 Eclipse N/T by hydroplaning on an interstate at 70mph (on a hella rainy Wednesday morning), and ate the rear tandem of a flatbed semi. Totalled the car, I climbed out unscathed.
