Recently bought 92 talon tsi awd
Super16g
650cc injectors walbro 255 fuel pump stock maf sensor and fpr
starts and runs fine for a short time running extremely rich
bought an safc but doesnt help
dumps raw fuel out exhaust
any ideas otherwise i am going to swap back to stock injectors tommorow
and remove safc see if that will help the problem

I think he's trying to say he has the STOCK FPR, which is probably the problem here. You're going to have to lean out the lower rpm's A LOT! The 255 is overrunning your FPR at lower rpm's, plus the 650's are dumping in 31% more fuel.

it has stock fpr i should probly get an aftermarket and adjust it down a little
safc doesnt help even if i adjust it all the way up i will double check wirnig and evrything also

My bad......................yea if you are running a 255 with a stock FPR you are probably overrunning badly.

i've never seen a stock fpr with a 255 let the car run that rich that it dumps fuel out the exhaust at idle. it will keep fuel pressure higher but it's not that dramatic of a difference.

you are subtracting fuel with your safc right?

yeah i tune it down in high 30s low 40s but even then it fails to idle properly and will still die i figure if i have to turn it that high i should get a fpr and adjust it down so i havre more room to work with on the safc the 650s i think are the other problem
i know when my mazdas fpr went out it ran rich and died a little a idle

i bet you have a big vaccuum leak or a bad connection at your ecu for your safc.
i run 650's with stock fpr too. i have to give it more fuel at idle than at higher rpms dueto my hacked 1g maf.

i gonna tweak with everything this wekend any tips would be helpful gonna test fuel pressure and check safc wiring also thinking about gutting the 1g mas to help lean it out
got new ic piping and vacuum lines to make sure no leaks

what should the karman sensor read for voltage i am getting really low voltages anyone know where they should be at i think it is like .15-.9 volts depending on gas pedal

I think you found your problem! ;) Set the AFC for KARMAN type sensor. It should read 30-50 Hz at idle, not a voltage.

on the safc i go to sensor check sensor number one read .15-.9v
tps read from .5-5v
i have to go double check this tomorrow

ok looked at wiring on safc all good
reading about 45hz at idle on the karman
.5v on tps
adjust safc settings i know it works
still will not idle correctly
any adjustment of idle controller or should i invest in fuel pressure regulator

It sounds to me like it is your stock fpr, check out this link and read the description under the aeromotive adjustable fpr. It describes your situation exactly and also has the remedy :thumb: aeromotive fpr

SINCE IT'S easy enough to do, put your stsock injectors back in and set your safc to all 0's. see what happens. if it's still messed up, disconnect the power and the ground wires for your afc from your ecu and see what happens...
