I am running a t3/t4 setup with 550's and my car is still running pretty lean. i used the rre settings to start seeing as how they had the same prob but would like to know if anyone has any better one's to fit my setup more specificly. its a 1g tsi. thanks also i do some times get idle surge when the engine gets past the half way point on the water temp gauge.

Every car is different, and everyone's safc settings will be different. Once you start messing with fuel control (ie. bigger injectors and a safc), you need to get logging equipment. If you're a 1g dsm, then you can get a 1g/OBDI pocketlogger and have the ability to see knock count which is very valueable for tuning. Also a wideband o2 sensor kit would give you more information at WOT runs.

I'm in Austin, TX too. I have a 2g car and a 2g logger so that wouldn't help you much. But I do also have a wideband o2 sensor system which will work on any car. There some guys on the local austin board that have 1g logger too, or you can just get one for yourself.

yeah i was trying to get one but just havent gotten around to it yet. know anybody selling one either in the austin or san antonio area.

No, don't know anyone selling them. You usually don't see loggers for sale; people usually keep them. You can get the software and cable from pocketlogger for like $150 I believe.
